- Lost other coverage (job loss, COBRA expiration, ineligibility for Medicaid)
- Got married or entered domestic partnership
- Had a baby, adopted, or got custody
- Permanent move that changes plan availability
- Aged off a parent's plan at 26
- Citizenship status change
How Long You Have
Most SEPs give you 60 days from the event to enroll. Document everything - Covered California may ask for proof.
Income Changes Mid-Year
