Our CMS commitment

Every Medicare-related communication we publish is reviewed against the most recent CMS Medicare Communications and Marketing Guidelines (MCMG). This includes website content, video scripts, ad creative, mailers, and call scripts.

Agent licensing and certification

Our agents are licensed by the California Department of Insurance and complete annual AHIP certification plus carrier-specific certifications before quoting or enrolling any Medicare beneficiary.

Scope of appointment

Before any Medicare Advantage or Part D plan discussion, we obtain and document Scope of Appointment per CMS requirements, including a 48-hour waiting period when required.

How we are paid

Our agents are paid by the insurance carriers when a policy is placed. Commissions are regulated by CMS for Medicare lines and are equal across carriers within the same product category. This means our recommendations are based on what fits you, not what pays more.

How to file a complaint

If you believe we have not met CMS standards, you may file a complaint with our Compliance Officer at compliance@hsocal.com or directly with Medicare at 1-800-MEDICARE (1-800-633-4227).
